like i have a 240 hz lcd.. and soem ppl tell me i have to have a new 3d tv.. to do the 3d…
other info tells me u just have to have 120 hz…
So,would you say that consumer 3d is a allmost like cinema theater?? Im still unsure about 3d in home. great video guy’s..
can’t wait to see the panasonic 3d tv’s. I think they will be the best.
@specialformula14 Your TV might have 240Hz processing but it is completely different to 3D. The 3D TVs need to have advanced picture processing to change the differing images – side by side and sequential – into images that create the 3D image, plus sync methods for teh glasses and images. Your 240Hz TV has frame interpolation which is a different technology altogether. So yes, if you want 3D you need one of these new TVs.
Great video, thanks for the explanation.
Can I just give an advice? Would you please low the music volume in the background?
Gracias.
@specialformula14 It is true. the nvidia and other computer based 3D platforms do not conform to the new side by side or sequential methods. Some projector manufacturers are looking at adding additional boxes to their products to make them 3D. The big problem you have with computers, other than incompatibility to getting the TV to do the processing to sync the image with the infra red transmitter in the glasses.
@AVForumsTV thanx for your time and info.. =)
i want 2 buy a 3d tv but im not sure if i should wait or wat tv is the best tv 2 buy
I tried out the 3D tv they had on display down in the Sony Store, and although it was very good the framerate seemed a little slow, I wasn’t sure what was wrong with it at the time, but after this video I’m sure it was crosstalk. I asked one of the employees what it’s framerate was and he said 60 fps, but it was a 200hz tv.
Surely PAL content and PAL tv’s have to run on a multiple of 50, which would give me the impression that the content would be 50 fps, 25 frames per eye?
Buy a Plasma 3d tv! Its cheaper and has nog braindamaging CRosSTALK!
Is it true dat u have 2 stand right infront of da tv 2 get da full effect of the 3d tv…thinking of buyg one…thanx 4 NZ.
@bulbulahamadnz i cant answere you because your speech is so out dated.
ok good vid,
but for god sake turn down the backing track, then throw the backing music out of the window and ask yourself why did i choose the worst piece of music ever to compliment a good factual video?
i think there’s a lot of people wondering this, and may have missed chunks of info, while pondering this ludicrous choice of ken boon.
@andyfoz dont know wat u meant..but bought dis tv couple of weeks ago…and it is just simply outstanding…nd besides i wasnt really askin u lol..i was askin “AVForumsTv”
AVForumsTV You may be misinforming the general public just a little here. Your video states that in the 50s and 80s 3d films were made in the “anaglyph system”. This is not true. 99% of the films from the 50s were filmed in dual strip polarized 3d, and in the 80s single strip polarized was mostly used. Every movie poster shown in your video were filmed and projected in polarized 3d.
It is a general misconception that anaglyph was used, just thought you should know.
I got a Aiptek 3d Camcorder it records Side by side mov files but when I was in the retail shop I asked to connect it to a 3d tv via HDMI cable it displayed side by side image of the recorded movie but not the 3D image. Is there some thing wrong with the HDMI cable, the camera or maybe the TV????. can you help as I am deciding what tv to use for editing and film making for my camera.
